The multifunctional tourist and recreational park “Deguako Clearing” (Deguakskaya Polyana) located in the area of the village of Dakhovskaya on the large Deguakskaya Polyana behind the Belaya River - Republic of Adygea, Caucasus, Russian Federation.
Construction began in 2023. The project is planned to be fully implemented by 2026. The volume of investments will be 2.8 billion rubles.
The plans include the construction of a tourist information center, Circassian (Adyghe) farmsteads, places for fairs and souvenirs, craft workshops and cafes with national cuisine.
The park will be presented in the concept of an ethno-village, where tourists can comfortably stay and immerse themselves in the national flavor.
Currently, the Dakhovskaya - Deguakskaya Polyana highway is being built, within the framework of which two bridges have already been built - across the Shhaguashe (Belaya) River and the Deguako River. It will provide access to the multifunctional tourist and recreational park. Engineering communications are also provided. The work is planned to be completed this year.
Construction work is carried out only after archaeological research carried out by specialists of the Caucasian Archaeological Expedition. Scientists have noted a high concentration of ancient monuments on the territory of the republic. During the excavations, many artifacts were discovered. They are unique in that they belong to different archaeological cultures. Dolmens, mounds, and a sanctuary were discovered. Experts note the attractiveness of this territory in all historical times.
The head of the Republic of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov, during his visit to the clearing, emphasized the importance of archaeological work for preserving the ancient and rich history of Adygea.
It is also one of the elements of the development of educational tourism. Therefore, the possibility of creating a kind of open-air museum is being discussed, which will preserve the dolmens and burial mounds discovered there, and will also attract a large number of tourists. As a result, the ethnopark on Deguakskaya Polyana will become another popular and unique excursion site in mountainous Adygea.
It is planned to hold mass events with an ethnocultural component here, including the Circassian (Adyghe) cheese festival that will be moved to Deguakskaya Polyana. There will also be pedestrian and bicycle paths and catering facilities.
